The Main Difference between the Garmin Nuvi 200 Series and the 300 Model
The Nuvi 300 series and The Nuvi 200 have an identical size, height and width. However the 300 model is thicker than the 200 model. Regarding the power button, it is a slider type buttons not a push style one like the previous model. To switch the power on/off, you need to move the button then release it. This power button also works as a hold button if moved to the right. Once the user moves the power button to the right, the input to the device will be locked.

The worst yet is the software cannot recognize the abbreviation of the states for example, I want to type on "NY" to make it understand that I want to go to "New York", however I should still write New- Y to realize my request. Shortly, the navigation process is almost the same. You should type in the city, the house number and the name of the street. Once you get the address, hit the go button.

I like the new voice quality. I can get the instructions easily although I may be at the highway speeds.  The speaker is loud enough. In fact, 300 series were lacking this quality in the voice.
